Kate comes to Savannah First Christian church after serving as Associate Pastor at First Christian Church, Irving, TX. Kate will tell you she doesn’t remember a time when God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit were not a part of her life. In fact, if you ask her, Kate will tell you that she has been in ministry most of her adult life as a musician, vocalist, and worship leader, in children’s ministry (she was the VBS Queen!), youth ministry, and church administration.

Kate’s journey to ordination began when she was 17 years old, and for many years, she and God talked about when the time for her was “right.” In the meantime, Kate married. She and Tim have been married 38 years, yes to each other! Tim, a Marine, and retired defense engineer, have two boys, now men; Dr. Matthew Titsworth (physicist), and Sam Titsworth (worship leader, church designer, church AV guru, and seminary student), as well as three grandchildren.

Kate’s final road to ordination came in 2014 when God said, “it’s time.” She finished her Bachelor’s degree, and began seminary at Brite Divinity School in Ft. Worth, TX. Kate graduated with her M.Div. in 2020 by virtual ceremony (due to covid). She worked as a Student Associate, then Associate Pastor at First Christian Church in Irving, TX.

Kate credits her practical experience in business and marketing, as well as working in multiple aspects of church life, with giving her a realistic idea of ministry. She also credits former Pastors and bosses for guiding her path.

Kate is happy to be in Savannah where the slower pace suits her to the bone.
